This qualification is practice based and assesses learners’ knowledge and competence to practice in employment or a work placement.

Learners are strongly recommended to complete the Level 2 Childcare, Play, Learning and Development: Core qualification prior to or alongside this qualification.
Learners not yet in employment must complete a minimum of 280 hours work placement; this must be in a Level 2 role working with children under the age of 8 years.

These one day events are designed for those involved in delivery of the Level 2 or 3 Children’s Care, Play, Learning and Development qualifications. They are part of a series of events designed to support centres as they prepare to become approved to deliver the new qualifications.
The day will incorporate workshop activities relating to the new qualifications and provide you with the opportunity to revisit the qualification content and structure.
